Esthetic Woodworks

Delivering Exceptional Painting Services

Hi, I'm Ariel — the person behind Esthetic Woodworks.

If you searched for painting services in Minneapolis, MN and landed here, I want to be upfront about something: I don't actually call myself a painter. I know that sounds strange coming from someone whose business does a lot of what people call "painting," so let me explain.

When people hear "painter," they usually think walls, rollers, drop cloths over the living room furniture. That's not what I do. I finish cabinets — a slower, more detailed process meant to hold up for decades, not just look good for the next open house. There's a real difference between painting something and finishing it properly, and it's something I care about enough that I'll probably write a whole post on it someday. For now, just know that when you hire me, you're hiring someone focused specifically on cabinets, not someone who paints everything from fences to ceilings.

That said — if "best painting services in Minneapolis, MN" is what brought you here, you're in the right place. Cabinet finishing is my whole focus, and I take it seriously.

Our Story

Our Story

A few interesting facts about me, since "why cabinets?" is a question I get a lot. I'm a licensed esthetician by trade, and I also have a background in professional makeup. That's actually where the name "Esthetic Woodworks" comes from — esthetic has always been about artistry to me, whether it's on skin or on wood. I've always been drawn to making things look their best, and it turns out that instinct translates surprisingly well to cabinetry. About five years ago, I got into cabinet finishing the way a lot of people get into things — as a DIY project. I liked it enough to keep going, kept learning, kept improving. This past January, I finally leaped and started doing cabinet finishing and design independently, full-time. I have a lot of respect for skilled trades in general — every one of them matters, and every one takes real skill to do well. Finishing is mine.

How We Do Things

I don’t rush cabinet finishing, and I won’t pretend I do. Here’s roughly how a project goes:

We talk it through

I come take a look at your cabinets or doors, get a feel for the space, and we talk about color, finish, and what "done well" looks like to you.

I prep everything properly

Cleaning, sanding, priming — the unglamorous steps that actually determine whether a finish lasts five years or twenty.

I apply the finish with care

Even coats, clean lines, no shortcuts.

We walk through the result together

I want you to be genuinely happy with it, not just told it looks fine.

Not exactly — I'm a cabinet finisher. It's a more detailed, longer-lasting process specifically for cabinetry, not general painting.

I started five years ago as a DIY project and went independent this past January. My background is actually in esthetics and makeup artistry, which is where the "Esthetic" in Esthetic Woodworks comes from.

Cabinets are my main focus, but I also finish doors, trim, and custom wood pieces.

I'm based in Minneapolis, MN, and I work throughout the surrounding area.

It depends on the size of the job, but most cabinet projects run a few days to about a week.

Yes — reach out, and I'll come take a look and give you a real quote, no cost to you.

How to Get Started

Reach out and tell me a bit about your project — what you're working with, what you're picturing, and your general timeline. I’ll come to your place for inspection and take a look at what I am working with. This way you will get an estimated budget and timeline for the project. The sooner you call us, the sooner your project starts, so if your cabinets, doors, and anything made up of wood need some special care and attention, then call us!
